The installation of the main infrastructure for the new Hikvision system is well underway and we are now taking bookings at Security to have your intercom panel installed in your apartment. You may either book in person or call Security and speak to S/O Lindani weekdays between 07H00 and 17H00 on 021 – 462 1737.
NB ** Please remember that if you are going to make use of the advanced feature as detailed below, to please let security know at the same time as making your booking so that they can communicate this to security. Please read point 2 below carefully before deciding whether to take this to ensure that you have the necessary wifi in your apartment.
Appointment times are as follows:
- Monday 29th to Friday 2nd June hourly between 08H00 -17H00
- Monday 5th June to Friday 9th June hourly between 08H00 – 17H00
There will be two teams installing the intercoms and installation times will be scheduled on the hour starting at 08H00. This means that a total of 18 appointments are available per day which will enable us to complete all 176 apartments in the 2-week period. We ask that you please book as soon as possible as the installation period will not extend past the 2 weeks and the old intercom system will be officially decommissioned on Friday the 9th of June.
Please take special note of the following:
- Replacement of the existing handset with the proposed panel inside an apartment is most unlikely to require any remedial work. However, all remedial work inside an apartment which may become necessary as a result of the installation will be the responsibility of the affected owner.
- Should you wish to make use of the advanced feature whereby the proposed system diverts unanswered calls from the intercom station at the entrance to Perspectives to your mobile phone, there will be an additional cost of R350 inclusive of VAT payable directly to the supplier upon completion of the installation. Please note that you will need functioning Wi-Fi in your apartment for this feature to work. The supplier is making this special offer of R350 (VAT inclusive) available only during the installation period at the building. Should you opt to activate this feature after the installation period you will have to pay the full cost of a callout at R986.70 (inclusive of VAT). You will be requested at the time of booking your appointment to confirm whether you are going to take this option so that the supplier can plan accordingly.
